Juniper SRX1600
The Juniper SRX1600 is a rackmount firewall that runs Junos OS. Juniper publishes a firewall throughput of 24 Gbps and an NGFW throughput of 4.5 Gbps for it. It has 16 x 1GbE RJ-45, 4 x 1GbE/10GbE SFP+, 2 x 1GbE/10GbE/25GbE SFP28.

Who it suits
As a rackmount unit it suits a head office, campus or data centre with a server rack. With protection switched on, plan for an internet line of no more than about two-thirds of the NGFW throughput figure. For the SRX1600 that means a line of up to about 3 Gbps.

Juniper publishes an NGFW throughput of 4.5 Gbps for the SRX1600. Leaving headroom for busy hours, that suits an internet line of up to about 3 Gbps with protection switched on. With inspection off, its firewall throughput is 24 Gbps.
